I checked my VZW account online and it says that I'm eligible for an upgrade on 11/20/2010. I'm able to get the Droid X for the $199 deal w/ instant rebate or the Next Best Activity (NBA) program? I heard that their is a promotion going on, that if your eligible for an upgrade by the end of 2010 and you sign up for a new 2-year contract, you can get the DROID X for $199?
Your contract has to end before Dec 31, 2010 to be eligible for the early upgrade promotion, so at best, they're only moving up your upgrade date by a month.

I do believe it's contract end date in 2010, not new every 2 early upgrade. It's worth calling and asking about though.
And yes, if you qualify you have to place the order in the store or over the phone, it will be $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate. You may be able to get them to pre-process this rebate on the phone, but no guarantees.
i've heard this too. it's what at&t is doing for the new iphone and i read vzn was going to do similar. if your contract expires in 2010 then you will be allowed to upgrade to the X now as opposed to whenever in the next 5 months you would have been eligible. i'd call them.
