I have taken a few photos and videos. Even when set for 8mpx I get really grainy photos unless I am outdoors in broad daylight. Taking a video even there does not usually look all that great.

Droid reviewers have all complained about the camera. If there is a trick to get it to take decent photos, please tell us. I'm no photographer, but I am sure that any real 8mpx camera would do far better than what I am seeing.
