brynnmcclung, Have you been able to get the camera working on your Droid X yet?
The community gave you all of the steps that we would provide you with in the event of you calling in or taking it to a store.
1.) Clear Camera Cache 2.) Safe Mode 3.) Factory Reset
If you have performed all 3 of these steps, then the next step would be replacement.
Please let me know if you are still having problems with the Droid X camera.

Had the same problem with a brand new Lucid - after taking one picture the camera would freeze, then not be found by the device. Returned the phone for a new one, and had the exact same problem. Figured out the problem, though! It was the SD card. I had used an SD card from a previous phone without blanking it out. Once I unmounted the SD card, erased everything on it, then remounted it, the problem went away. You'd think someone at Verizon might have suggested this before making me return a brand new phone!
