Droid X2 Re-booting

I've seen this reported for the X, but now it's happening on my X2.

It just rebooted itself at 7:08AM EDT, while sitting on my desk connected via USB to my desktop PC.

It was charging at 80%.

Update: Did it again .... 09/15/2011 07:20AM EDT. Connected to PC via USB.

Same apps installed for the last 2 months, nothing new.

Did a FR before and after GB upgrade.

No problems till today.

Ibm360, thanks for notifying the community of your issue. I understand the importance of having a reliable phone. If this is something that is still occurring, we can certainly try further troubleshooting. It is possible for a cell phone, especially a smartphone to reboot occasionally. This doesn't always mean there is something seriously wrong with the device, but possibly and application malfunctioned, the phone started to overheat, etc. If this becomes incessant, I would recommend checking which applications are running in the background, seeing if it only occurs while connected to the computer, and last step a factory reset

MarquiaF,

I suspect a faulty SD card. The only time happens is when I'm connected via the USB to a computer.

Even if I'm only charging, the SD card is being accessed by the PC. This occurs about 3 out of 5 times I connect.

I did a factory reset before installing the gingerbread update, and I did a factory reset after installing gingerbread.

All ran fine for a couple of months, then it started. I did a factory reset again (also reformat the SD card) and it still happens.

On the Motorola site forum one user was having the same problem (more sever). They called Motorola about it and

Motorola sent them a new SD card, and the re-boots went away. I will continue to watch this. I just hope it doesn't

happen in the middle of I/O to the SD card, not good.
