I had this phone to the point where Napster recognized it as a device then something happened last week and now it's seeing it as a mass storage device. There was some setting on the phone which specifies USB storage or WMP or something like that. Anyone know something about this?
Also just recently, my laptop now sees the DroidX as a camera rather than a music player. Any insights?
Thanks.

When you "connect", swipe down the top bar and there are connection property options to choose from. USB, Charge Only, WMP, etc. Is that what you're talking about?

Yes! Thanks! I could not remember for the life of me how I found that screen. Now if I change this back to WMP, it should work again. Will keep you posted.
Do you think this is the reason why the computer now recognizes the phone as a camera?

One of the options, once connected from that drop down choice, is WMP. Not sure what you mean about recognizing it as a "camera" though. What SHOULD happen is that if you look in "MY COMPUTER" after connecting, it should show up as an additonal drive letter on your PC. depending on which choice you make (USB, WMP, etc.) you will be able to browse and manipulate various folders on the phone.
If this at all solves your problem, please mark as "SOLVED" ..
Good luck,.
