My poor old Droid (first generation) keeps going into silent mode, which I could live with, except that the ring volume message box pops up and will not go away (obscuring the screen).
I have tried a factory reset, and I've tried installing the System Panel tool that closes all apps. Could something else be causing this problem? Has anyone else seen it?
This is my second Droid (they replaced the first one because it was having the same problem). The phone is not under warranty, according to Verizon. I am due for an upgrade in 6 weeks, but I don't want to limp along like this if someone can give me a solution.
