My Droid Incredible seems to have died. the battery was low last evening, and I plugged it into the charger. Shortly after that, I went to check it and could not get it to turn on. Nor does the light come on to indicate that it is charging.
If you totally killed the battery, it will be a while before the phone will come back to life. Give it a couple hours, unplug the phone and then plug it back in. See if the charge light will come on then.
Also pull the battery and replace also.
