At first I thought I wasn't getting any emails on Incredible, but then I happen to be looking when one came in and the next thing I knew it was gone. Didn't even have a chance to open it. Is this a feature? ; - )
Need help. I have already deleted account and recreated. Didn't help.

I am more upset that by deleting the mail on my phone and even though I have, "Delete mail off server" NOT checked, they are always deleted off the server anyways. After many years of reading and deleting and then coming home to peruse the ones that were not needing immediate attention, only to find them gone is very frustrating.

Join the club. Go back a couple of weeks in the forum and you will see multiple threads on POP3 email issues since the update. There appears to be no solution. With the update, once email is off the server, it is automatically deleted off your phone, whether you like it or not.
My temp solution lately is to leave my home email program closed when I'm out, that way the mail stays on my phone while I'm away from my computer. Of course,as soon as I open the mail at home, it disappears from the phone.

Try to go through this process.
1) On your PC, launch Outlook and Click Tools, then Account Settings, Click Change on the email account and then Click More Settings, Click the Tab Advanced and then Check Leave a copy of message on the Server. (You can also specify how many days you want.)
2) On your phone, launch the Mail application , Click Menu, then More, then Settings. Under SEND/RECEIVE, make sure the Delete Mail on Server is ON

Actually based on the issue, on the phone the delete mail from server should be off, not on.

I seem to have this problem no matter what. In my case, my phone was my e-mail for my POP3 as my computer was nto set up to retrieve these e-mails. I have heard of so many issues with e-mail. When the problem started with mine, VZW originally told me that it was a hardware problem and to go back to the VZW store. I was certain it was not but went anyway. At the store, they told me that it was a software problem and that the Droids were not made for e-mail and were trying to get me to exchange for a Blackberry. The problem was that I liked the Droid a whole lot better than the BB and that e-mail was not my life. I could live with my Gmail account (which works well). They told me to wait for an update or to keep a lookout for an exchange e-mail app. I just wish Google, HTC and VZW would get together and acknowlege there is an issue and fix it. I tend to not be able to look at e-mails for quite a while during work (need to wait for breaks), so I will receive and quite often loose my e-mails before I even got a chance to read them (BTW, I have had my settings set for both delete and not delete from server; it does not effect anything, it just deletes it).

Last week I decided to try the k9 mail app and it corrected the issue. At least for me.

I've only had my Droid Incredible for a few weeks. I love so many things about it, but the email works on/off. I stopped receiving email one day & called support. They had me remove the battery for 10 secs & call a few numbers to update roaming, etc. I received 43 email within moments. Everything was working great until yesterday when email stopped again. I pulled the battery & tried to remember the other steps as best I could. Well...no email this time. I plan to visit the store today to see what's up.
One other thing I remember from the support person was that you have to maintain 2 bars to receive email. If it drops below that there seems to be a problem with Android technology. Not sure if I understood her correctly, but I plan to find out. I don't like the thought of having to remove battery every time I drop below 2 bars...
Does anyone have any solutions?

Mine was doing this also, the default is set to pickup email for only a certian number of days old (dumb on verizons part) try this, got to your E-mail. Then click Menu> more (three dots)> send/recieve options> download options> select "by days" then scroll to the bottom and pick "all"
See if that helps

I don't know if this is relevant to any of the problems stated. However, I too was not receiving any Emails, even though I'm subscribed to a couple of newspapers via email, and I noticed last night, when I was ready to turn the power off, the pop-up menu told me that my Internet connection was Off. I changed that to On, and lo and behold, my email started to fly in again.
