While on a trip last i used the Driod Charge with the GPS mount. While using the GPS navigator app after a couple hours I would receive a message stating that my phone is either low on battery or hot. Since I had it connected to the car charger I know it was not a low battery issue. I removed the Droid Charge from the GPS mount and after feeling the back side the phone was hot.
Problem is until it cools down you are without a GPS as well as a phone. I had to turn it off till it cooled down.
Has anyone else experience this issue?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Yes I had it mounted to the windshield just as I have with my GPS unit. I guess the Droid is not able to handle the heat as Actual GPS devices do.
I guess I will try to see if there would be another spot I can mount the droid

Had the same issue on my trip to south texas. I feel it gets hot and trigger it because of sun on it. When I was driving long distance and it was cloudy no issues. Back mount, black phone, texas sun= hot. I lowered the mount sloer to A/C vent and that seemed to help.

Thanks everyone for your input and feedback from your own experiences.
Tntcoop, please let us know if moving the location of the Charge/mount resolves your issues.
