Droid incredible 2 not turning on

I had to hard reboot my phone becauseit froze up and would not unfreeze i removed the battery and now it continues to go to the droid icon and then going back to the HTC white screen over and over again. i have a feeling that this happened from downloading a dumb application. Please help soon,.

same here but my phone stays at the red circle screen until I give up and take out the battery. I've had this phone only since mid-June and this exactly why I had to get this phone as an alternate to my Droid 2 that I had had for a year and a half.

I am sorry to learn that the device is not operating properly for you! I do agree that a corrupt application is the most likely cause of this glitch. I do recommend an alternative reset (see: http://bit.ly/IN6y9O) to return the device to factory settings and reboot the phone to work properly again. It is best to ensure your contacts and calendar are backed up to Google/Gmail. Please keep me posted if you need additional assistance.
