okay so, i got my Droid by Motorola less than a month ago, and today it deleted all of my texts- ALL of them. i had important texts from over thirty different people and i had my settings where they do NOT delete. i powered off my phone to see if it would work, but NOTHING. is there a fix for this?? anyone else having this problem? is there any way possible to get them back?
Unfortunately at this time there is no way to restore your text it may have been a simple software error. I would recommend a hard reset to clear out any settings you had so that this error does not occur again. Hope this helps.
I have this same problem with my phone. Ive had it for about a month and a half and my phone has done this 5 times now. and same with me i have had alot of very important message get deleted. even the ones i had locked so they wouldnt delete. But they still did.and i have tried the hard reset after the 3rd time and its done it twice since then. Not to happy with it at all!!
Try sms backup and restore from the market. Any thing important, save to sd card.
This problem has really been a crippling issue for the phone, from my experience. I thought it might be because I had both Handcent SMS and Chomp SMS installed on my phone, but uninstalling them did nothing to help. Having to use SMS Backup and Restore is just one more annoyance amidst a problem that should not exist, and where a permanent solution should.
Other forums are swamped with this issue yet no possible cause is being determined. Very disappointing.
