Droid x with 2.2 - Swype keyboard new color scheme

Hi,

this new scheme with light grey keys on light grey background

is not as nice as the swype scheme that is shown

on the swype website (and was on the phone with 2.1).

Is there a way to change back to the swype color scheme that

was there with the 2.1 android on Droid X ?

Here is a process to try to get different keyboard color schemes and you can also visit the Droid site http://www.droid-life.com/2010/04/29/download-blueredgold-swype-keyboards/

Download: SwypeRed.apk

Download: SwypeGold.apk

Installation instructions…

1.  Uninstall previous versions of Swype.
2.  Download the colored Swype of choice to your SD card.
3.  Install.
4.  Make sure Swype is checked in Settings>Language and Keyboard.
5.  Open a text box, long press, choose “Input Method” and then “Swype.”
6.  Enjoy!

Thanx for this info, but I must point out that the pre-installed version of Swype that comes on the Droid X appears unable to be un-installed. How do we work around that? Or is un-installing Swype really necessary?
