I purchased my first Droid1 in Nov. '09. I had problems almost from the beginning. When I finally gave up it was past the return window so I received my first of three CLN replacements. All had issues; some the same and some different. I am not talking about learning how to use the phone just the actual "physical" problems with the phone.
If you are having issues I suggest you keep records of calls to customer service and visits to the store. Approach Verizon with your problems and try to negotiate a solution that you are happy with.
I was able to reach a very fair agreement and now I have a new Droid2. The phone works flawlessly. Everything transferred without a hitch. The phone is awesome! I now understand what a great phone the Droid can be. I do understand that all phones may have a glitch every now and then but so far, perfect!
Contrary to what some posters say on this forum, there are phones that do not work correctly and it is NOT the users fault. Apparently some of us were unlucky enough to receive flawed replacements. There is some learning involved in using the Droid. The great thing about the phone is you can customize it and get as techie as you choose.
With just a few exceptions, the customer service has really been great throughout this whole issue. It just took too long to reach a solution. The phone support reps are exceptional.
