Droid2 Google Contacts Sync Problem

Although my calendar seems to be syncing properly, I have yet to see the contact list from the Droid displayed in Google Gmail contacts.  Am I missing something?

The contacts are confusingly separate. Try contacts.google.com to look at your contacts.

Wow!  Big improvement. Now I have a whole 5 out of 100+ "synced" from my phone.

Where are the rest, and how do I get them connected with gmail?

I am also having a terrible time.  I have spent hours over several weeks trying to figure out how to correctly synchronize my droid 2 with my office outlook contacts (over 2000 records), which have spousal information, multiple email accounts and phone numbers, categorized in over 20 categories.  Also calendar and notes and tasks.  Not that interested in syncing office email with the droid 2.  Most software I have seen doesn't have any manuals or "how to" guides or troubleshooting.  At the moment, I am trying out myphoneexplorer.  Ok with PC to droid sync.  Except the only way I can find the information on my droid is to attempt to make a call.  When I click on native contacts it is blank.  Also, when I attempt to do a two-way sync, it looks like it is going to duplicate the contact entries on my PC.  Unacceptable.  Is there a tool out there that actually works?

I have provided some steps below that may help.

Step 1 – Ensure the Gmail account you used during the phone’s activation process is the same Gmail account you have your contacts on.

Step 2 – Visit the Gmail website and ensure that all your contacts are present (like jasnmar recommended).

Step 3 – Ensure the Gmail synchronization option was enabled on the device.

Step 4 – If any of the options above did not work, try a soft reset.

-Power the device off

-Pull the battery out for 20 seconds

-Place the battery back in

-Power the device back up

Step 1 - Check complete

Step 2 - NO.  Only 5 entires show up in this listing.  This is the problem.  How do I get my phone to populate this page?

Step 3 - Verified

Step 4 - Complete

Results:  No Joy.
