Thanks for the reply Gerio. I'm at work right now so I can't try that just this instance. When I left to work I put in the stock battery so when I get home I will put in the new battery and try that.

BradleyB wrote:I bought an extended battery (BH6X) and put it in last night. As I expected the battery arrived with no charge on it. So I plug it in (it's plugged into the wall, not the computer) and let it charge overnight. Skip to this morning and now I can't turn it on. Well let me tell you what happens when I try to turn it on. First I get a red motorola logo then I get the DroidX booting image then I get the red motorola logo again and then I get a screen that has this big icon of a battery and it starts out at 0% and goes up to 60% and then the screen goes blank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If the extended battery arrived dead, this is a good sign that it's a bad battery to begin with. Modern rechargable lithium batteries have a control board in them which will not allow them to be recharged once their voltages get to low. It's a safety feature on them which prevents disasterious occurances in cases where a battery has shorted out internally.

Curious if the battery you bought was a Verizon-approved MOTO battery or some OEM battery? I've read reports that most of the OEM batteries do NOT work in this phone. Can you post the Model # & details of the battery?

So all BH6X batteries are in fact MOTO "originals"? OK .. didn't know that. (I don't have one). Just wanted to make sure though that it is indeed not an OEM.

Well, I'm ASSuming that only Moto could use that model designation...?

There are a couple of knock-off manufacturers that will use a battery model number as it's model number. Some knock-offs even have Motorola branding and logos on the batteries.

So I would say that the one million dollar question is........ Did you buy the battery from Verizon or a 3rd party resaller?

I hope you have good luck and all goes well but I can agree with other posters that I have learned that some accessories are best bought from source like manufactor or carrier... Usually a item has a lesser cost becuase it is a lesser quality.
Best of luck...
