Drop Calls

Calls end in the middle of the conversation, usually around 10 minutes.

I did not accidentally press end, because this happened while on speakerphone as well.

This already happened 8 times.

I have had Droid X for 3 months and it has been happening in the beginning as well.

I have not dropped it either.

And I do not have insurance.

Is there a solution or can I get a new Droid X?

Help.

Thank you!

Hello iluvyoo. I have read your post and understand your concern with your device having dropped calls. A troubleshooting step I would recommend is to do a PRL update on your device. To do this you will need to dial *228 on your device and press send. Once provided the options, select option 1 to re-program. You will want to do this at least every 30 days to keep your phone updated.

The phone has a 1 year manufactures warranty.  There is little to no chance you will get a brand new phone as a replacement, but if there is an issue with the phone its self, you can get a refurb replacement.  You can also try calling Customer Service and they can pull up the info on the dropped calls to tell you if it was actually an issue with your phone.

I have had this problem as well even after doing these steps because I usually do it once every two weeks ( as many of my family members has done as well ), but I have also had issues with my text messages taking days to get to the person or it not getting to them at all! This has been the case with all of the Verizon customers I know of and its at least 50 people!

So disappointed with the so called "BEST" in cell phone coverage!!

yea, I think that was a typo ...  Option 2 is what updates your PRL.
