Hello happy forum members,
It would be my pleasure to assist with setting up the q.com email account. May I ask is this a personal email account for the both of you? Also, is Qwest or Century Link the landline internet provider that you have? These are critical question that will determine if this type of email account can be setup on the Droid X or any other wireless device. Also, keep in mind that there are different types of server settings, which may vary based on demographics. I have posted the most common server settings for your review in the link below.

In addition to the setting above, I encourage that you reach out to the Century Link to verify that this information hasn't changed. Just an FYI, when calling Century Link I would ask if they use ISP filtering to block email server setup on mobile devices. This is common for most landline providers and I want to make the community aware this is often the case when getting an authentication error during email setup. If you have any additional questions or concerns then feel free to share your thoughts.
Thank you...

I'm having the same problem. I was initially able to set my email up but after several months it quit working. I have to access it through yahoo now. I get the can't verify account message. Mine is a POP as well. From what I have read this appears to be an issue with the Droids. I'm no expert though. Sorry I can't help but I wanted to let you know you are not alone.

Woo Hoo!!!!! Thank-you SO very much! That worked! I had just started to chedk the e-mail by signing into my century link account and going from there -- it's now set up with the email icon to check directly!
