E-mail sync

My Motorola Droid gets confused when syncing with my sbcglobal email account.  The Droid frequently renews deleted e-mails, multiple times.  Even e-mails deleted on the sbcglobal website sometimes are rejuvenated on my Droid.  It is annoying and causes me to frequently ignore the Droid "incoming" notices.

I notice that there is a Trash folder on the phone, but I don't see a way to clear the folder.

Any suggestions?

There's no way that I have found to "select all" when deleting trash e-mails. You need to manually touch the check mark next to each and then you can mass delete all you've selected.

When you are looking at your email choose to view folders. Then choose the Trash folder. once all your emails have loaded click the menu button and choose Select All. Then there will be an option to delete choose it. This will remove all the trash. Hope this helps.

I have pulled up the trash folder and there are some 700 trashed e-mails.  I cannot find any place where there is a "select all" so that I can remove those trash e-mails.  I have to tap the x on each one before I get the opportunity to delete.  The last poster indicated that a "select all" button would appear in the menu after all the trash e-mails have loaded but I cannot find it.  Am I missing something?

There is no select all in the trash if you are running a stock phone. You should at least once a week empty your trash or it will and could.slow the phone down.

I don't need the.exchange email on my d1, I only using pop 3. In the settings of the email do you hate delete from web when deleted from phone? If you do not have that box checked in the setting of your email account you will get the emails you had deleted already.

When you go and empty your trash you need to x each one individually and don't do anymore than like 20 or you will have to fc your email app.

Do this and you will have no more duplicate emails

In the settings of your email, incoming settings you will see a tab that will by default say never, (under delete email.from.server) touch it and it will say delete as I delete from inbox.

Email client, email setting, incoming mail, delete when I delete from inbox......and no more double emails...
