I have read through nearly every message on here- and I understand each person's situations are different. This is all confusing!
I bought a LG enVtouch 7/30/09, renewed my contract for 2 yrs. I have a family share plan. Been with Verizon for almost 10 years now.
My contract expires 7/30/11, upgrade date is 3/30/11, other line on acct contract expires 4/27/11, upgrade date is 12/6/10.
I am aware of this option on my account: I can do my Annual upgrade on 7/30/10 @ 2 yr pricing and get the Droid X.
I am finding conflicting information online about whether Verizon is allowing someone to upgrade at 2 year pricing to the Droid X if their CONTRACT expires in 2010 or if they have an UPGRADE in 2010 so I can take advantage of getting the Droid X on the 15th this week.
A guy at an authorized Verizon dealer (not a corp store) told me that I could use my other line's upgrade in 2010 to get the Droid X on my account on the 15th. A rep over the phone with Verizon told me no.
I am weary of the Auth Dealer-- I don't want my plan messed up at all- I am able to currently get 450 family share plan (other than I know I have to add the data package on for $29.99).
Yes, I am impatient. I guess I am pushing for the 15th in case the Droid X ends up on back order (I know it won't be as bad as the Incredible because its a phone screen production issue for HTC).
So, what is my bottom line-- Is there any way to talk CS into moving up my annual upgrade 15 days???? (I also have documented issues with my current phone and it does need to be replaced under warranty currently- I figured I would wait it out and see if I could get the new phone this week and it would be a nonissue.) Should I see what the Auth Dealer can do for me? Should I just wait until the 30th?

Verizon is running a special program allowing existing customers with an upgrade date in 2010 to upgrade to the X at 2 yr promo pricing. Call cust service to verify that you qualify for this program so you can get the X for the 2 yr price.

Do you see my original question? I have conflicting information-- where did you find information from Verizon that indicated in writing about the UPGRADE DATE in 2010, not the CONTRACT expiration date.

From what I have seen posted by Morgan, your contract fulfillment date is what matters. Your New Every 2 date is an early upgrade option in and of it's self.
If you want absolute verification dial *611 from your VZW phone and ask a CSR yourself.
