I have been having a problem for about 2 weeks now with my email not being automatically sent to my phone. If I go into the accounts and select "refresh" they show up fine! I have searched all around in settings to see if something could have gotten changed on accident but can not find out what is wrong. I have read some of the other threads about not getting emails at all or getting ewrrors but they dont seem to relate to my problem. Any one have any suggestions? I have noticed that the arrows under my 3G logo are not always black and I have to restart the phone to get them going. A lot of times once I do this I will get all of my emails sent to the phone at once, but then it stops again! Thanks for any help!!!

Which email APP are you using?
try going into SETTINGS / ACCOUNTS ... click on the GMAIL account and confirm that ytu have "Sync Gmail" selected. After that, any "Push" of email is controlled by whichever email APP you are using ... you would check the Settings for that specific APP to set the schedule for syncing email to your phone. For instance, I use YAHOO MAIL APP ... in Settings for that APP there is a setting for "EMAIL DELIVERY" which I set the "Fetch Schedule" to every 15 mins.
If you have all the settings the way you think they should be, you might want to try CLEARING CACHE & DATA in the SETTINGS / APPLICATIONS - selecting your email APP to clear those settings. Hope this helps. Let me/us know if it did or not.

PS - the 3G arrows are only going to be BLACK when data is being transferred back and forth. When no data is being transferred, they will be GRAY.

I have a few emails hooked up. One Gmail, one Yahoo and one through godaddy. My emails have all always gotten pulled directly to the Messaging app that came with the phone so I check them all through the same button. Now I have to go into messaging and click refresh under each account to get it to pull my emails.

My Yahoo mail stopped updating automatically just yesterday. I was traveling on business and missed a very important email that caused me to miss a meeting change.
I've had the phone since close to release and this is the first problem I have had.
What do I do to fix it?
I just have my Yahoo account linked in the universal inbox and I have never had a problem before...until yesterday. I tried to delete and re-ad the account to the universal inbox and it just tells me the account is already set up.

I think I found out what the problem was but I am not sure how it happened.
When I went into My Accounts my Yahoo password had been doubled.
For example, had my password been "doghouse", it was listed as "doghousedoghouse".
When I corrected it, I soon got a normal push notification.

Glad you figured that out .... Yea, that is he common issue with email not auto-pushing/pulling ... the credentials are usually not correct.
