Email replies cannot be sent?

When I reply to an optimum email sent to my Droid 3 the message is not sent because the last refresh time in not available? I've hit the refresh prompt, but that doesn't work.  Any advice?

Hello Frankie129,

 

I know emails are an important form of communication.  I would like to go over a few questions that will help determine what angle we need to take to address the issue.  Can you reply to other emails?  Are you able to compose emails to Optimum email addresses?  Have you ever been able to reply to Optimum emails?  If so, when did this occur?  Does this happen to one particular email address or all Optimum email addresses?  If you had a smartphone prior to the Droid 3 were you able to reply then?  Also, please make sure you try leaving the device on and removing the battery and retest.  I know this step is very simple but we do want to attempt to rule out a reset.  Please responds with the above information so I may further assist you if needed.  Thank you
