Tried the new gingerbread Rom n Wow benchmarks are now over the 980 in froyo its over 2000 now gingerbread is fast! IN THE QUADRANT STANDARD APP.. WHOOOPIE!

fring and tango both now work with the charge. however, i'm still unaware of anything that will allow you to call a pc???? fring added a few new devices a few weeks ago though.

If you want it NOW there are ways but they're going to require some work on your end.

That's not the offical samsung/verizon release but a pre-realese. Samsung was goig nto skip GIngerbread and go over to a modded ICecream when allowed. may want to wait. SAMsung still may release the rom on samsungs site for ginger bread final for charge and other I5xx series .

Personally, I can wait for the official OTA update. But that is good to know that it is faster than FROYO.
