Factory Reset ? Address Book NOT right

Cinsual
Newbie

I had set the security lock on my phone restricting outgoing calls - Once I did that I was never able to unlock it again.  I took it in to Verizon where  they had to do a factory reset. NOW my phone is CRAZY! - Was perfectly FINE b4. :smileyhappy:

My address book looks like a kindergardeners and the info is all scrambled.

  • 1st NOT all of my numbers are there -  people who had more than 2 numbers tthe 3rd & up numbers are gone
  • 2nd the Birthdays are not there instead its some sort of random number
  • 3rd any note that I had on the ppl are not there anymore
  • 4th the email addresses are incorrect - some having extras others not having the correct addresses

In my calendar not all my appointments are there and the ones that are there I CANNOT update to become repeating.

I'm receiving dublicate text messages AND my SD card seems to be erased!  All of my apps that were on the SD card along with the back-ups are gone and occassionally says there is no SD card.

The phone is randomly calling ppl

Lastly is the battery is draining rapidly and I have checked to see what is running and there doesn't seem to be alot

THIS is just TOTALLY unacceptable - MISSED DR's appointment that took 6 months to get into and missed the board meeting that I have been waiting for. NOW I know I SHOULD be more on my game but I juggle so much that I forget things within 15 minutes-and DEPEND on my phone to tell me everything.

I would like to take my phone BACK & NOT have the update installed.

Any suggestions on what to do or where to start?

Thanks

Cin

Cinsual,

I understand your frustrations with your phone and the issues its having!

It appears something didn't either load properly after the update, so I would like to suggest resetting the phone again.  This will remove whatever is causing the glitches off the phone.  Then sign back in with your Google account once the device boots back on.  I am going to include links for Hard Resetting the Droid X and also for signing into your Google account below:

Hard Reset - Motorola DROID X MB810

Initial Activation and Setup - Motorola DROID X MB810

These steps (Initial Activation and Setup) also include the steps for restoring Backup Assistant contacts.

After setting up your phone, recharge your battery to a full charge.  You should notice a better experience with the battery life.

Let me know how this works out for you!
