Can family locator not be used with the Droid 2? When I tried to add it to our account is said the device was not capable????

i'd guess that all phones have to be compatible, are some older phones?

Are you trying to use the Droid 2 as the locatee (child line) on family locator? If so, no, that feature is not available on this phone. You can view compatible phones here.
