Ordered 8/1/10 @ 9:00AM CDT - online. Just received email from Verizon with Tracking number. Fedex indocates it picked up package at 9:48AM today 8/8/10 - Delivery scheduled by 4:30 PM - 8/11/10. The Verizon order status site still has not been updated.
Ordered on August 2nd , received email staing that Fedex picked up package on August 8th, estimated date is August 10 by 430 pm. Yeah i dont have to wait until the 18th!!!
Update: Received E-mail confirmation today that it will be delivered on the 11th. Which is good, because that's the first day I'll be home at the right time to sign for it anyway. Yay! I'll get it in time for my B'day!

I ordered in store. I talked to CS almost everyday and the store prolly every 3. They just kept pushing th date and told me a bunch of **bleep**, the last thing they told me, after saying it would ship the latest the 6th after saying it would ship the 3, is that it would ship no later than the 11,

I ordered 8/5 and am waiting for a shipping notice. I had separately sent a request to internet orders and they responded about 4 days later. Here is there response. They are saying it will ship 'overnight' when it does. I'm not to thrilled with their estimated ship date and hope that it gets here a week from my order date which seems to be a pattern recently.

Placed order online at 10:45 PM, August 12, 2010. Ordered hasn't processed as of yet. My order was placed two hours ago, from this post. Estimate "will ship by" date is 8/30, according to Verizon site.
Will patiently wait, and hope that it is shipped a little earlier, if Verizon receives THEIR shipment earlier than expected.

Finally, mine shipped today from my order on the 5th placed at 2:30 PST. I have been checking every droid forum out there trying to get good information on the wait time. I am in AZ (Phx) and received my notification at 1:45pm on 8/13. Will receive it Tuesday. This has been nerve wracking. BTW - you can't even track the shipment notification numbers to your order. I had to call Verizon to confirm that it was my Droid X and not separate accessories that I ordered. Also, I am a bit POd that they did not ship it overnight like they said they would in writing from an e-mail I initiated and the response received from internetorders@verizonireless.com on 8/9. Mine says it is 2 day service and I will be receiving it Aug 17 by 7pm. This is such a releif and now I can stop hitting the send/receive button in Outlook. I think it's broke anyway.
This has been such a hassle but I am so relived that I'm getting it sooner than the 23rd. BTW, Verizon won't budge on those dates even though they are shipping a lot sooner; in my case 10 days.

In May my boyfriend and I switched from ATT to Verizon so we could get in line for the incredible. Tired of waiting, he decided to pre order the droid x about 2 weeks before it released and received it on July 15th. I ordered mine on July 17th and have gotten no information since. These were ordered through a 3rd party verizon wireless retailer and every time I call them they tell me that they don't know how much longer it will be. At this point I have been waiting for three months on a phone and it's past the point of irritation, frustration and anger. It's made worse by the fact that I see my boyfriend's phone all the time so I actually know what i'm missing...............come on people, what's it take to get a phone?

On another note though just try and be patient folks they are doing their best to meet the demand. I checked the online status a couple of times but did not call. I knew from the get go that I was going to have to wait so bugging CSR about something that they have no control over seemed like a counter productive idea that would only lead to me being frustrated. I have spent many hours as well on various forums reading up on how to use it when it arrives. Now if I could only get one of those T-shirt sticker kits with the coupon life will be grand.

I looked at his past posts and it looks like the 6th. So in theory you should be soon and get yours the day after his. I ordered mine on the 9th and if I'm lucky I'll get it on Friday but it looks like Monday for me if the trend holds up. This is just going off the trends of the posts I've read so obviously anything can change.

It's getting very frustrating seeing people who live on the east coast on various forums who ordered after me posting that they've received shipping emails and I still haven't. Orders should be first come first serve not based on region. There is no excuse for that.

I ordered mine on the 8/7 day online at about 4pm and im in ohio haven't received anything other then 8/25 date from cs
I know there are multiple distribution centers. My point is this:
Guy A from California orders his phone on the 1st.
Guy B from Florida orders his phone on the 3rd.
The distribution center in Florida has phones but the one in California doesn't. Guy A should still get the phone shipped to him first. That's just my opinion. Obviously I care more since I'm one of the people waiting but still. The idea of shipping from the closest center to the customer is a great idea, when there is a product in stock and not backordered. But in situations like this I don't think it is. I'm trying not to flood this board with complaints but it's just frustrating.
Ordered Friday 8/6/2010 ~2:00 PM was told by the customer service rep @ Verizon customer service that it would ship on Monday 8/9/2010 at the latest. When it didn’t show I called & was informed of the stock situation, much to my surprise!
I found this thread, then called CS & asked why some are receiving their phones even though earlier orders go un-filled. The "supervisor" I spoke with indicated that those who claimed to have received their phones must be lying because Verizon would never ship out of turn....
Needless to say, I am off-the-charts angry and trying to resist strong urge to terminate not only my relationship but also my company’s business with Verizon.

What ever you do, DO NOT remove pull tab where the battery goes. It stays there and assists you when removing the battery from the phone! Whew almost pulled it out all the way and would have voided warranty according to other forums I have read.

Man i am glad there are so many people just like me. The fed x man is like Santa for adults. I wish I knew why some get there phones before others. I am glad mine will be here tomorrow. I think if you ordered yours around the 8th like i did yours will be there soon.
Ordered mine 8/08/10 AM: Got confirmation email 11:35AM same day. Initial online order status said item was on backorder. Two days later, it said my order was processed, & would ship according to item availability. (WTH??). Called yesterday for an issue with my current Droid 1, asked them to check the status, was told according to the "shipping schedule" based on when I ordered, it should ship 8/18/10. Called back today for same issue, was told it would ship by 8/25/10, but "could ship sooner". I am a very impatient person, even fully knowing that it would probably ship by 8/15, but still, they really should have their reps give out more accurate information. I'm just hoping that I get a tracking email tomorrow saying it's shipped. I've already ordered & received accessories(from a 3rd party site), and I can't wait to get the phone. Impatience should be considered a terminal illness. LOL

I was now told this morning that my order STILL has no tracking number despite being told it would ship a week ago, then two days ago, then yesterday. Now they are telling me the 25th it will ship.

I just saw another post of a person ordering the 13th and his shipped today, so I called *611 and the CSR swears that they are shipping them in order of when the order was placed. (Her supervisor assured her that is the case).

Called Verizon CS today about my bill and asked about a tracking number, and they had it! I patiently await my Droid X to arrive on Wednesday the 25th! Don't be deterred by the website saying your item is due to ship on "xx/xx/xx" due to overwhelming blah blah blah...Give them a call at CS. I never got a shipping email or anything! Hope you all receive yours soon!
