Ok so... I've had the update for a little over a day now. Other than a few quirks, I've found one thing I really REALLY don't like, and wondered if it's a bug or something they did intentionally (cuz I can't figure how to fix it). So... here's what I'm experiencing.
1. Battery life SEEMS to be about the same so far... but I haven't been on my phone much today. (I'm using the 1750mah battery from Seidio). We'll see as time goes on, but yesterday was horrid, but I was doing alot of tweaking.
2. Things are a bit more sluggish. Unlocking the phone, typing in my texts I notice alot of lag, even though it still puts it in there, it's a big more laggy. Not a deal breaker, but I noticed. I can live with it.
3. More apps that came with the update are still running (I have uninstalled ATK as suggested), but I'm letting the phone sort those out, seems to be doing ok.
4. Here's the big one... when I go to my text messages... If I'm actually in the text message portion for that person I'm texting, and I send a text, I set my phone down cuz I'm done. If the screen is still on and they text me right away, it doesn't do the notification sound or even the icon at the top. It just displays the message. I noticed this when I had seen texts the next time I opened it up that I didn't hear the chime go off. Now... if I let the screen go off and THEN they text, it does the sound notification. If i hit the back arrow button and go back one step out of the texts with that person, and they text back while the screen is on, it will do the sound notification. So... only when I'm still in the text message list with that particular person will it NOT do the chime as long as the screen is still on. Which can be a pain if I text and then set the phone down and I'm not watching it, I won't know if they texted back right awhile while the screen is still on. So... basically I have to back out of the text message with them each time, just in case. Which is a hassle... again, not a deal breaker but, I don't like it.
Anybody else?

are you both using the stock messaging app? i don't know about the notification issue because i never leave it open. i guess out of habbit i always back out (or at least hit home) after i send. but maybe if you don't want to back out twice, you could try just hitting home after you send. still a pain...but at least it's only one touch. see if that gives you the alert??? as far as your other issue snowwhite....mine keeps the entire thread....but when i go into the message it takes me right to the most recent. the most recent is at the bottom, which is where the app takes me directly too....with the oldest message being at the top. not sure why yours would be different????

I have found the same issue!! It drives me crazy!!!! I wish there was a way to fix this as it wasn't an issue before the update! Please let me know if you figure out how to change it back to the original!
