Forwarding texts to e-mail

Does anyone know how to forward text messages from the Droid 2 to an e-mail account?

Open the text you want to forward

Press and hold until you get a pop-up menu

Select Forward message from the menu

Enter the message address or phone number and press Send

I've tried that and the only thing that pops up is "delete" and "cancel".
