Found tethering in the menu 2.2 update

I just found a tethering option in my menus. I guess you don't need {TOS violation} anymore.

 

Menu>settings>wireless and networks >tethering

 

It is pretty neat that they atleast put that in.

But, does it work for free or take you to a Verizon sign-up page?

haha .. forgot to check.. yes it does take you to a page, unless you are hooked up via wifi... but it does work...

 

+1 for you for calling me out without checking stuff. {TOS violation}

Does the sign up page mean that Verizon will charge you extra for using it? If so I will continue to use the app I already have installed.

Yes. If it's like the other Smartphones, it's an extra $20 for 2 GB.

there were two options, but I don't remember what they were...I know one was $20

We are not allow to tell you about the other app... I was warned a couple of times.
