Found work around to install apps that give 'low space' message

As much as I tried to upgrade a couple of apps (mostly the newest Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons), as I was unable to via the 'Market' on the phone side. No matter what I tried (reboot, shutdown/take out battery/bootup, remove cache, remove data for non-important apps, delete all the call history, and just about everything else short of a reset (which I'm not going to do)), I could not upgrade because the phone thought I was low on space. I have so much space available according to the stats, it is laughable.

So I tried a different approach, as I just happened to be on the http://market.android.com web page on my desktop. I did a search for Angry Birds, went to its market page, and saw that it was 'installed' on my phone already, but yet had an 'install' button to select. So I selected the 'install' button it offered, and it pushed the update to the phone with no problems. I now have the updated Angry Birds' games, and they are working. I hope this works for others.

However, the little icon in the upper left, warning me that I am low on space, will not go away now. Not a big deal, but very annoying as it takes up space where mail and other notifications are to be.

I love Android and what it offers, but it seems to be very similar to a Windows OS in that no 2 systems are alike, even though it is the same hardware and the same apps/programs are running. Both companies seem to be in a big hurry to get things out before they are truly ready for the public.
