I continue to have problems since the GB update with the keyboard freezing and having to be forced closed when texting. Can someone point me to a resolution? It is annoying.
I also have the picture deleting problems.
With regard to deleting photos take a look at my post at the URL below where I mention a new feature that I just found. Try to delete photos using this method.
The keyboard freezing up is a problem that I haven't heard about on the Charge. I've heard of it happening on other device, but the Charge wasn't one of them. In any case, I researched the issue but didn't find similar reports. I would try clearing the cache/data on your keyboard app. Settings> Applications> Manage Applications> All> Samsung Keypad> Clear Cache/Clear Data/Force Stop. Do the same for Keyboard Slide-Up Counter (just in case). I'd imagine that you've pulled the battery at least a few times, but go ahead and do it again after clearing the cache and let us know the results.
If that doesn't work, I'd recommend a factory reset.

I also have had this keyboard freeze since update. I went to verizon and they sent me a refurb phone the next day. After 3 hours the new phone started doing the same thing. I went to verizon and was told there is a software problem and if you text in swipe mode this will solve the problem until they fix the software. I don't like swipe mode and apparently I'm stuck with a phone that does not function properly until or if they ever get this resolved. I didn't buy a phone that needs rebooted every few hours....garbage!!!!!
I've had tons of problems since the GB update but the keyboard isn't one of them. However, if cleaning the cache, as suggested above, doesn't work, try a different keyboard from the Market. I myself use the Smartkeyboard with a black slate skin. It is so far superior to the stock keyboard, I would use it regardless.
