Using Google Maps on DroidX, is there a power setting to prevent the screen from being turned off or the application from being exiting while in use?
Thanks,

Try changing your timeout settings before accessing Google Maps. The steps are below. HTH!
From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
Touch Settings.
Touch Sound & display.
Touch Screen timeout.
Touch one of the following settings:
- 15 seconds
- 30 seconds
- 1 minute
- 2 minutes
- 10 minutes
- 30 minutes
- Never timeout

Ok I found it again, I use the stay awake switch while charging. Because when I am navigating I normally have the phone charging. Anyway it is found by going to settings, applications settings, development and checking the stay awake tag. Hope this helps

Does anyone else have a problem with the gps on google maps. It would be a clear day and it keeps saying searching for gps. I restarted twice and still searching. Only after i pulled out batery for a bit and put it back did it work. Every so often it acts up. Im new to verizon and im still in trial.period and don't want to stay with the droidx if this is going to be a big issue. I really like the phone and no major connection issues yet.
