I now get the whit HTC logo and then it goes to a box with loading before my home screen activates. This is irritating and takes a while to load. The box with loading seemed to happen after a new app was installed. The white HTC screen started with the new 2.2. Any suggestions.
i'd start by uninstalling whatever app it was that seemed to start this. then reboot and see if you still have the white htc screen issue.
If the problem began after you downloaded a new application, you will want to uninstall the app and see if the problem persists if so, try doing a hard reset on your device.
I have done those things already. How do you do a hard reset?
settings-> sd & sphone storage-> factory data reset......IT WILL ERASE YOU STUFF...just a warning.

That is why it is a good idea to back up your stuff BEFORE performing a reset!
