This will be my 5th phone... customer service said they will continue to send me replacements even if that number reacher 30 (a number I asked them).
I baby my phone, but do use it a lot as it is a business phone. I know a lot about phones so I know it isn't user error.
I know I am not the only person with these issues, just look here and just about any other Droid forum.
Sorry, just had to rant.. I usually try and be helpful here, but I couldn't take it anymore.

Another phone isn't going to fix the proximity sensor issue as it's an issue with how Froyo handles it. It seems to be a lot more sensitive to tilting, resting the phone on your shoulder or long hair.

Replacement #2 came today. Just called Verizon Tech Support and they admitted it may be best to hold off on 2.2 until bugs are worked out. Don't want to have to deal with replacement #3 and so on, so I'm personally going to pass on Froyo for now.

They will just continue to spend the money to send me a phone every month.
I am officially upset. I try and help people on here, but why do customer services job?

I thought with insurance you can get a new phone & not a refurbished one?

Assurion reserves the right to send you a new or refurb'd (certified like new) phone just like verizon.

I think some very small, but very important adjustments are needed here.

Try downloading ADWLauncher. You can set your phone to not rotate if you like. I think you might can do it in stock launcher too.
@racingrl7
The insurance has nothing to do with the refurbs. If you want to get a brand new Droid you can pay the replacement fee and have one sent to you. They will run out soon enought since they stopped manufacturing them. I finally got a hold of someone that is helping me out. If it pans out I will pm you their number.

Thanks. I know that I can disable rotation, I just don't want to

I want it to be a little less sensitive than it is. I want to be able to rotate into landscape, but it seems to do it a bit to early, and to not want to rotate back to portrait easily.
Not necessarily looking for a fix... Just complaining

I just downloaded 2.2, after reading "beware" messages. . . I'm also having this issue of oversensitivity.
I would say keep sending it back and make them pay the postage and keep them busy until, as someone has said, they run out of refurbs. This just happened with a Flip Video. Luckily it only took three and I got a new one again. **bleep** companies. These "refurbs" are lemons, which is why they were "refurbed"!

Mine seems to go slow, so I don't know exactly what to say...I still suggest ADW
