When or Will I see Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on my Droid X?

It is unlikely that you will get an answer either way in this forum.

Or anywhere else, for that matter, until Google and Verizon are good and ready to make the announcement. Anyone else is purely speculating.

I saw a supposedly "official" video from Google and/or "Android Developers" describing some of the features of Gingerbread.  I'm wasn't excited.

I did email Verizon and also Motorola about the Gingerbread update and asked this same question and I was told they don't know the release date but that the Droid X will get the update.
