Will the Droid x be getting an Official release of Gingerbread in the near future?

This is a peer to peer help forum, so not many VZW employees are active here. However there have been reports that Motorola has sent the update to VZW. We will have to wait and see what happens.

Word is that vzw refused the update because it allows free mobile hotspot and also has text that reads: signup at att.com/mywireless. Free plugs for your competitor on your devices are strongly frowned upon. lol
lol crb79. I didn`t notice the plug for att til you mentioned it. Your absolutely correct. Launched it and there it was.
