Downloaded and installed Gingerbread late this afternoon. Smeared some butter and honey on it and it's been treating me very sweet. I put it through the paces, downloading something from the internet, sending/receiving Email, checking some items on a spreadsheet, and so on. Everything seems to be working great, and yes, I did get a notification light on the Email.

my only issue was gb making yahoo my default email, i deleted it and default reverted back to cox/pop3 with login/password/servers all intact.
getting notifications on email, text and missed calls.
i don't like how some things have changed but all-in-all, i like it.
