I know that Android is supposed to allow you to exclude contacts added to Gmail upon their reply by giving you the option to uncheck "Show auto Gmail Contacts". These are contacts to show up in All Contacts in the web client but not My Contacts. However, I see that in 2.2 these auto Contacts are being added to my Google contacts on my phone eventhough my Show auto Gmail Contacts is not checked. A friend who has the Droid Inc with 2.2 notices the same thing happening on his phone.
Is this a bug in 2.2? It is causing hundreds of email addresses to be added to by phone every few days as I use a corporate gmail account and send email blasts out from the account which can generate many auto replies and as such all these email addresses are being added to my address book.
