So the Droid X had me sign on to my Gmail account.  While I had a mail account, I never use it and only get junk in it.  When I do get a message in Gmail, it know notifies my Droid X.  Totally useless email account for me. 

 

Is there a way to get Droid X to not received at my phone for this account?

Not that I am aware since they did say to have the phone you had to have a gmail account. It helps to link the google stuff to the phone. You can make they a dump account where in your filter setting you can say anything from everyone should be deleted and that might dump everything right as it comes it. You can also change the notifications for that to not alert you when email coems from that account. If you go the the gmail account you can set all types of filter to problably never recieve and email.

Hi.  I understand that you have a question regarding receiving emails on your Droid X.  Yes, your phone will automatically get emails from Gmail when you do receive the emails.   If you want to stop notifications, you can go into your Gmail account and click the "menu" option and click "settings".  You will see the option to disable your notifications.

Not seeing anything about notifications under settings.  Which submenu might it be under?
