Google Picture ID in Motoblur Messages Widget

I just purchased the a Droid 2 with the "new" Motoblur.  I have a question about the Messages widget.  When I receive a email from a contact with a Google contact picture, the picture takes up half the Widget, and no text is displayed!  Has anyone else seen this?  Is there any way to have the Messages Widget NOT display the Picture ID??
