Hello,
Started noticing that when I am watching an online video using the google browser, the browser shuts off and I am back to the main droid x screen. Then I manually have to go back to the wepage where I was watching the video to start over again. Has anyone else seen this issue and if so, what could be causing it? Thanks for your input on this matter.

mortb, isn't Flash included in 2.2.1? I know I have never manually installed it.
I use my phone for browsing a lot, including watching embedded videos within webpages and don't remember such a situation as described in the OP.
However, most of the time when I touch to play a video, a popup appears asking me if I want to watch it using browser, YouTube, or TubeMate (a YouTube app).
I always choose TubeMate and upon the video ending, when I press the phone's Back button, I am returned to the webpage.
But, back to the OP. If Flash is the issue, perhaps the dreaded factory reset is needed because the Flash file on the OP's phone is corrupted?
Or, as you suggest, installing a fresh download of Flash first. Definitely worth a try before a reset.......

Sounds like a possible corrupt file or site server issue... This happens from time to time do to high traffic, also check your signal strength when this happens and see if you may have a week signal.

You might also try using the wifi on your phone. Have you downloaded a flash player yet? You need the Adobe Flash to watch videos on a browser.
