Google Maps is a free app and doesn't cost anything to use. You will however need an active data connection to use it. Wi-Fi connection from your smart phone is no charge from Verizon, but all smartphones require a data pacakge of $15 or more.

I have the 29.99 pakage. I think it's unlimited. So shouldn't I have any problem even dough I don’t have the navigation system service with verizon?

The Google Navigation will work fine for you then... The Verizon Navigation system costs yet another $9.99/mo ... and frankly is not worth it. Since you have the Unlimited plan, Google NAV will work fine for you - at least it does for most of us. Good luck.
