I am the Director of a large group of members of a Neighborhood Watch Group. On my PC, I have each "Block" group (18 Blocks in all) listings in one group (DG #1, DG #2, etc.), and then after all of the group listing have been assembled, I then highlight
each group designations collectively and create a file "DG Group". In that way, I can send every registrant a "warning" message at the same time ("I just saw a man running away from a house on .... Drive with a lawn mower."
I have tried to transfer my entire address file including the DG #1, DG #2, files plus the combined group file without success. My new Droid 3 will record all of the individual names by none of the group destinations. I often get notices when I am not in front of my PC and feel that I need to send our warnings before I get back home.
Any help on handling group listings transfers will be greatly appreciated. At this point, "Google" has not offered any advice.

I haven't actually tried emailing an entire group's set of users ... but I think this should work.
First you must go into GMAIL (online) and set your Groups, and assign contacts to those group(s).
Then on the phone :
CONTACTS / MENU / DISPLAY OPTION / GOOGLE / That will display the GROUPS defined in GMAIL ... just select
the one(s) you want Grouped & Selectable via the Group Icon.
Now go into CONTACTS and click on the "group" icon - it looks like several people standing together - just below the "Contacts" icon.
Select a Group you want to contact and then click on MENU / Send Email ....
let us know if that does or doesn't work for you.

to add:
within contacts, up at the top you'll see an icon which takes you into groups to be selected.
with emailing pics, with cox the isp, i've found that the dx limits the size of emails to 20meg, or so.
whether it's a server limitation from cox or the dx, i'm not sure & not sure if it's any different with your d3.

20 meg limit is from cox.......
we only get 10megs per at Charter.
and I would not want to send 20 megs through 3g no matter how important the email is

takes 8-10 min for 20 meg using 3g. i step the pics down to 2meg & regularly send 6 at a time.
if i try to send 7, i get the nasty gram of 20 meg limit.
