Ok, so on your phone press the menu key, the first hard key on the left if you are holding the phone as if you are talking on it and the last key on the bottom if you are holding the phone in landscape mode.

1) touch "Settings"

2) scroll to "Accounts" and touch it

3) touch "Add account"

4) find your account type and touch it (I have 3 e-mail accounts that I use on my phone: G-mail, Yahoo, & Corporate Sync (my work e-mails))

5) then you will just have to enter & set-up each different e-mail account using the account settings.  For most of them you just enter your e-mail address & password.

There you go!!!

Post here if you have any problems.

I set up my email account as indicated. It is through bell south Powered by Yahoo... what ever that means, any way I receive emails from this account but it seems I am having trouble replying to them from My Droid x. It looks like the replys are going out but when I check the sent items they are all still in there. I sent a test email to myself and it never went through.

Also, even though I deleted several I thought I had replied to from the inbox on the phone, it did not delete them from the email inbox when I accessed my email from my office computer.

Any ideas on what I need to do on either of these issues?

You need to check with Bell South to make sure that you can send an email from a different network.  I have Charter Communications email, and if I am not on their network (not home) then I cannot send email from Outlook.

The same applies with my Droid. If I setup my Charter email account on my Droid, and if I am not on WiFi at home, I cannot send email from my Droid. This is a security feature to keep spammers from trying to use Charter resources to send out spam.

By the way, the phrase "Powered by Yahoo" is just a setting in the Windows Registry. Yahoo really doesn't have anything to do with your Bell South email account.

Call the provider of your email account and ask them for their smtp server information.  If you have the correct information you shouldn't have any problems sending email.

I have the requisite gmail account but also an AOL account and my corporate email account.  Is there a way that I can access my AOL and corporate account without having to change the default each time?  Thanks for your help.

You can set up the "Universal Inbox" to sync whatever e-mails you want into 1 location.

Mine showed everything at one time, facebook, voice mail, texts, and my google emails. Now it's only showing facebook. I have tried setting it up again, doing a reset, still nothing. All my accts show up in the my accounts section (vm.fb,gmail, text) but they don't show in the universal inbox. I'm not a novice and know how to use the edit & set up options but nothing is working. Sometimes the email button will show up in edit, but it's all grey and won't do/open anything when i try to to use it. So far not a happy droid x customer.

This didn't work for me either.only my facebook & text show. It wrkd at one time, then the store did some kind of reset to supposedly fix why my phone contacts wouldn't show now i have more problems then before. Any suggestions other then going back to the store where their tech didn't seem to help or no mutch. He told me i could only have 1 gmail acct and that was why my phone contacts weren't working.

Do you have the X?  You were successful setting up your corporate email?  Is it Exchange?  I have had no problems with aol or gmail.  I bought the phone for the active sync so I would not have to pay the extra 15 that VZ charges for BB phones.

Thanks for any info:smileyvery-happy:
