HELP! New Bionic freezing

I just got my Bionic Oct 18th. No problems. I received the extended battery on the 20th. Installed it and charged the phone over night. Next day, Oct 21st no problems until later that evening. I was using my blue tooth with motospeak and it froze on me 3 times. Only way to unfreeze was to pull the battery. Next day, Oct 22nd, no problems until later in the evening again, it froze while using the motospeak text read and voice text. Today Oct 23rd, no problems all day until in the evening again during text speak with motospeak phone froze.

First couple of times phone froze and went totally black, until I pulled the battery. The rest of the time it just froze on the text read out screen.

By the way I use the finiti Motorola blue tooth ear piece. I used it with the motospeak app on my X before getting my Bionic and everything was OK.

Please someone tell me how to solve this problem.

 I like the Bionic.

I loved my X and am beginning to wonder if I should have stayed with it. Problem is I don't have it anymore.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!

kawyatt, having a new phone is very exciting but having issues with the accessories or functionalities isn't fun at all so I understand how upset you are. I reviewed some of the issues reported to us by customers for the Bionic and found some similar issues with the phone freezing but none regarding the Motospeak. If the phone is freezing, it has been suggested to clear the cache, data history and to perform a master reset on the phone. I will list the steps below to clear the cache and to perform a factory reset. I recommend clearing the cache and data history before performing a factory reset.  I also listed a Motorola website with customers who are discussing the issues with the motospeak.

Directions below to clear cache  (Visited website content stored on the device. The cache enables the browser to download only the content that has changed since the last time a website was visited. Since the browser only downloads changed content, pages are loaded faster)

  1. From a Home screen, select the App menu (located in the lower right).

  2. Select Browser.
Note If the application icon is missing, select App menu filter (located at the top) then select All apps.

  3. select Menu.

  4. Select More.

  5. Select Settings.

From the Privacy settings section, select Clear cache..

Select ok

Directions below to clear History (A listing of URLs (website addresses) that have been recently visited.)

  1. From the Privacy settings section, select Clear history.

  2. Select OK

Directions below to clear the cookies (Some cookies contain customized preference and logon information for previously visited websites. Once deleted, the website may prompt for this information again).

  1. From the Privacy settings section, select Clear all cookie data

  2. Select OK.

Directions below to perform a master reset. Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account,system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.

  1. From a Home screen, select the App menu (located in the lower right).

  2. Select Settings.
Note If the application icon is missing, select App menu filter (located at the top) then select All apps.

  3. Select Privacy.

  4. Select Factory Data Reset.

  5. Select Reset phone.
Note If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.

  6. Select Erase Everything.
Note Allow up to 3 minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.

  7. Perform initial activation

I cannot imagine  that this is an acceptable solution for this phone. I have done no fancy stuff and it freezes.  Will I have to hard reset all the time and spend the silly hours in reconfiguring the many data entries?

AND - how about deleting VZ Navigator? I want it off!!

Very disappointed int his phone that cannot even make phone calls - so many freezes!

Grrrrrrr..:smileymad:

Is there any way to solve the freezing issue without doing the factory reset?
