What PC operating system/version are you using?

I am using Windows 7 and the Droid connects just file. I get the notification bar and then mount the Droid. The PC sees it as a disk drive. There may be a need to download and install a USB driver on the PC for older versions of Windows. I think I remember seeing something to that effect on the Motorola support site.

I know on the 1.6 Andriod OS you can turn the usb connection off. Look through settings on your phone and make sure the option to allow usb connections is checked.
