I have the droid 2 global phone. I had to replace it because the last one was restarting itself once a day everyday. What would cause a phone to do that? I got a new one and this one just restarted itself? Am I going to have the same issues as I did on the previous one or could this hopefully be a one time thing? I am starting to regret having this phone if this is the issue I am going to continue having?

There have been a number of people reporting random restarts, so you aren't alone. If it is happening every day you might take a look at what apps you have installed. It is quite Poseidon that a bad application, or a combination of conflict applications is causing the problem if you see the same behavior on two different pieces of hardware.
if there are apps installed that you can live without start removing them. If you have a task killer or antivirus app installed try removing them.

Shift come pre-installed but you can remove it.

Has the new phone just restarted once, and how long have you had it?

As I indicated, there have been reports of random restarts, but one a day sounds abnormal to me. If you continue to get them like that keep returning the phone until they send one that works. Daily restarts wouldn't be OK with me.

You can uninstall Adobe Reader, but you will be unable to read any pdf files. I truthfully doubt that the Adobe Reader is causing your problems. I suggest you tap the menu button, and then tap Settings>Applications>Running Services to see what actually is running. Most of them are needed to keep the phone functioning, but there are a few that you can stop. See if there is one which may be causing rebooting.
