I have a friend with a Droid X who hasn't received any of the text messages I have sent him. Not only that, I got responses from someone else to those texts that I sent out. I can still call him and he receives those perfectly fine. I just can't text him. Are there any other reports of this problem?
Did he recently port his number to another carrier?
With porting, it can take 24-48 hours before texting is fully implemented and all messages are routed correctly. If he hasn't ported, I'd double-check that the number for messaging is the same as the number for calling your contacts. If it is, he may need to get with his carrier and see what the problem could be.

he doesn't have SMS messages "blocked" at Verizon does he? Is it only YOUR text msgs he's not getting, or is he not getting any?
