After upgrading to Android 4, Ice Cream Sandwich, my wired headset button no longer launches voice commands. The headset button works on my wife's Bionic, which was not updated, but stopped working on mine after the update of the OS to ICS. I cannot find a way to activate the button in ICS.

I don't know if this will fix the problem or not, but it's worth a try ... did you do a system cache clear after installing ICS? It shouldn't erase any of your data:
Power down phone
Hold volume up/down & power simultaneously
Use volume down to navigate to 'Recovery', use volume up to select
Should see screen with triangle and exclamation point next to an Android
Press volume up/down simultaneously
Use volume rocker to navigate to 'wipe cache' and use power button to select
Once finished, use volume rocker to navigate to 'reboot system now' and use power button to select

Nope, that did not work. Thanks for the effort.
