So today I received the Incredible 2 as a replacement phone and I'm having trouble getting the Swype keyboard to work. I installed the apk file and have Swype checked under Language & Keyboard. However, whenever I go to type a text message or anything, it's just the standard keyboard, not the Swype one. Does anyone have any ideas for a solution? Thanks in advance.

I actually figured it out. All I had to do was press and hold the screen where I was going to type in the text, and I got the option to change the input method from touch input to swype. But thanks for your suggestions

You're sure it's not the Swype keyboard? It's the same as the stock keyboard, only you can actually use Swype on it. Which texting app are you using, the stock app? See if there's a setting in there about which keyboard to use.
It almost sounds like it didn't download correctly. Have you tried doing a battery pull just to kind of reset it a bit?
