I'm having trouble getting my hotmail account to work on my droid x. It won't recevie messages. Every time it checks for messages an error message pops up. I tried a manual setup but it didnt work. What can i do to get my hotmail account working.
what does the error say?
Check your settings for the account. Mine are :
General Settings: pretty self explanatory
Incoming Server: server: pop3.live.com
port: 995
username
password
Use secure Connection and Verify Certificate checked
Outgoing Server: server: smtp.live.com
Port: 587
username
password
Use secure connection and verify certificate checked
Other settings: your choice

There is also an app on the market called HOT EMAIL. I have Hotmail, and it is working fine on my phone. But the one thing I do not like is that it only gives you the INBOX,......you cannot see any of your other folders.
So I downloaded and use the app Hot Email.....it is basically like the browser portal on the desktop scaled to work on the phone. with this, I am able to utilize all of my folders that I have.
